El pasado 8 de marzo de 2025, con motivo del Día Internacional de la Mujer, la Casa de Cultura Pilar Herranz de El Escorial acogió el concierto “Arias con nombre de mujer”. Las sopranos locales Rakel García y María Luz Pérez, acompañadas al piano por Gonzalo Vila, interpretaron una selección de arias de ópera y zarzuela que resaltan personajes femeninos emblemáticos. 

Este evento formó parte de una serie de actividades organizadas por el Ayuntamiento de El Escorial para conmemorar el Día de la Mujer, incluyendo charlas, talleres y otras actuaciones musicales. 

La Casa de Cultura Pilar Herranz, lugar del concierto, es un espacio dedicado a promover la cultura en El Escorial, ofreciendo una variada programación de eventos a lo largo del año.
